We help our clients makes their ideas reality by working through the engineering challenges necessary to generate first-article prototypes that our clients can take back to investors or use as a platform the next generation of technology development.

A client came to GreenMountain with an idea for a novel concentrat-
ing photovoltaic module. Since their specialty was in optics, they
engaged us to design the receiver, the portion of the module that contains the solar cells and electrical components.

Using our in-house concentrating solar test station, we collected and analyzed experimental data on the performance of various types and configurations of solar cells. We designed electrical and mechanical components of the receiver, performed FEA analysis, prototyped
module designs, and built tools for module assembly and testing.

With a working prototype in hand, the client secured additional
investor financing, and GreenMountain proceeded with design for manufacturability of the CPV module and handoff to a manufactur-
ing vendor.
