Test Procedure Automation

We build automated testing equipment for the lab or manufacturing floor to automate test processes and increase yield of product ranging from handheld devices to solar cells to wind turbines.

Pelikan Technologies needed to improve production yield of the
Pelikan Sun™, an electronic lancing device designed to facilitate
easy and pain-free blood testing for diabetes patients. Pelikan wanted
to automate the final test of each product at the end of the manufactur- ing process.

GreenMountain designed and built an automated tool with
push-button operation to test the functionality of each device. GreenMountain’s final tester uses motion control and pneumatics
to simulate human interaction while machine vision and a LabView
interface to monitor the performance of the product at each stage
of the test.

With four copies of this machine installed at their manufacturing facil-
ity, Pelikan has enjoyed increased manufacturing yield, allowing them
to keep pace with growing demand for their innovative product.
